This week, I ordered a few things for the house, and when I opened one box from Wayfair, I pulled out the bubble wrap packing my items. Touching the bubble wrap popped an old memory into my head from years ago when Shane was about 5 or 6 years old.
We received a box of supplies that came wrapped in a very long roll of bubble wrap. If you’ve never experienced the cathartic joy of popping bubble wrap, you need to give it a try. It’s loud and it’s irresistible.
I took this roll of bubble wrap, unrolled it to make a nice bubble wrap path. Mike and I got little Shane up in his wheelchair then the fun began. I can still remember the three of us laughing our heads off, as Dad did the river dance moves while rolling Shane down the wrap around hallways of our house choreographed to the loud popping sound of the bubble wrap.
Still makes me laugh.
I’m spreading out this bubble wrap and I’m tap dancing like Shirley Temple!!
You gotta have fun. Shane taught me that merriment is a must.
I'm busy working on my blog posts. Watch this space!
